read Press Herald Article here. As a trivial aside, when this was the Fuel Pier and tank farm for NAS Brunswick during the cold war, it was not shown on the nautical chart. Curiously, it was shown in detail on the topographic map: http://docs.unh.edu/ME/frep57se.jpg. (The WWII South Portland shipyard site was also omitted from the chart until the East Yard was developed into Spring Point Marina)
